Don didn’t want a funeral service, but he also wanted to leave it up to his kids to do what would make them feel better after his passing. So his family has chosen not to have a single-event service, but to remember him – and ask others to join in remembering him – in ways that we know he would have enjoyed.
We would first like to ask everyone to share memories, stories, photos, and tributes about and to Don whether for his “official” memorial book, or on this site. In the years, and especially months, before his passing, Don recorded many stories of his younger years, his Trooper years, and other memories and anecdotes to share with the world later. We would love for you to join in these efforts and share whatever you think people might like to know or remember about Don.
In the near future we have some other projects planned that will enable others to share his artwork and cultural legacy with the world in a fun and broad way.
We will also be sharing on here, and on social media, some of his wishes for after his passing, so please keep an eye on this page, or social media, and feel free to subscribe to it to get email updates.
